Prayer Walk

We had a wonderful prayer walk on Sunday.  Forty joined in for a delightfully friendly and fun walk around St Albans.  WE are so grateful to the Churches of Trinity URC, Marlborough Road, St Peters, S Michaels especially for their warm welcomes and for leading us in prayer.

Summer Forum

The summer forum began with a few moments silence remembering our much loved departed Mike McElroy.

Thanks to Joanna for arranging the venue and refreshments!

Mike Elliott, our resident historian gave a brief but engaging account of the archaeological breakthrough at the Abbey.:

Mike McElroy RIP

It is with profound sadness that I have to report that Mike McElroy passed away on May 8th after his cancer took a major turn for the worst.  I was surprised and grateful when, despite being ill, Michael agreed to be our treasurer at the January AGM.  It is with great regret that he was taken away so soon.

Lively AGM and discussion!

The AGM went swiftly and efficiently – thanks Mike.  There will be a fuller report later.  We now have a good list of exciting potential events and activities.

We now have a treasurer, Mike McElroy and a convenor, Peter Berners-Lee (me).  Please pray for us, and that people will get involved in making the right new things happen!
