It started with sending signed Christmas Cards to HMP The Mount
We then presented our first Prison Forum. Following the success of this, we followed on with a forum giving a vision for how re-offending can be reduced.
We followed this by running 3 Prison awareness courses aimed at helping churches to be welcoming to the ex-offenders already in our midst, in a responsible, safeguarded way.
We are now looking at ways to help further
- Getting on the Welcome Directory
- Supporting homeless ex-offenders
- Joining up with the Prison Fellowship
- Supporting prisoners’ families
- Supporting the prison chaplaincy with audio equipment
