Prayers for Peace

You & your congregation are invited to a 15-minute service to pray for peace  at the Peace Pillar in Sumpter Yard starting at 3pm.  on Sunday, 10 August followed by a cuppa in the Abbot's Kitchen. Local Government Proposals

It seems that they are planning to merge St Albas council with other councils.  Final proposals to the government are due on November 28th. Old councils will be abolished on 1st April 2028( this is not a joke).  The proposed options can be found at https://www.hertfordshire-lgr.co.uk/proposed-options I understand that this may have serious implications for the center of St Albans, since it does not have a parish, from a local government point of view.
