Local Government Proposals
It seems that they are planning to merge St Albas council with other councils. Final proposals to the government are due on November 28th. Old councils will be abolished on 1st April 2028( this is not a joke). The proposed options can be found at https://www.hertfordshire-lgr.co.uk/proposed-options I understand that this may have serious implications for the center of St Albans, since it does not have a parish, from a local government point of view. Free Church Service
There is a Free Church service in the Cathedral on the first Wednesday each month at 11.00am in the Lady Chapel. It lasts for 45 minutes with hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a short sermon. Led by Rev Simon Carver All are welcome!
