CTSA Unity at the Cross poster 2018

This is one occasion at a Major Church Festival where one of our member churches organises a Service on behalf of us all.    We have an opportunity to come together at the foot of The Cross to celebrate our Unity in Christ, won for us on the Cross.    After what has been for many of us a long and busy day, this service offers an opportunity for rest, meditation and joint worship offered by others in the ancient setting of the Cathedral an Abbey Church dedicated to the Martyr after which our City was named.   The Service will begin at 8.00 pm and lasts approximately one hour.

Prior to the Service some of the faithful meet at SS Alban and Stephen’s church in Beaconsfield Road.   At 7.15 they will witness to their faith by walking behind a large, wooden Cross which will become the centrepiece of the following Service.   Others will arrive  at the Abbey where they will await the arrival of the Walk of Witness.  Whether you join the Walk or come straight to the Abbey you are warmly invited to join us.
