Eco church conference

10 October 2020 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Saturday October 10th   Eco church conference:  Working together towards Net Zero.  A day-conference for churches across the southern region, hosted by St Albans Diocese, exploring how churches can become more sustainable through the eco church programme.  The venue for this special day of expert speakers and workshops is All Saints’ Church Leighton Buzzard, which has a remarkable churchyard with bees and badgers and is an active member of a local eco church group and the Leighton-Linslade Low-carbon town initiative.  The conference will be mostly online with a socially distanced gathering in All Saints’ and groups able to gather as ‘hubs’ in their own local churches.  This will also have the benefit of providing a live audience and some networking opportunities, while at the same time reducing the conference carbon footprint. We would like to invite you to consider whether your church could be a local ‘hub’.  Further details of the programme and how to register are below.

Adrian Frost will be joining Caroline Pomeroy in the session on the 360 degrees carbon footprint tool.  Adrian built ‘360carbon’ from the ground up, and has in-depth knowledge of carbon footprinting.  Together with Caroline providing expertise on footprint tools and offsetting, this will be an excellent opportunity to learn from two leading experts in this field.

We have an excellent line-up of speakers and workshops, and we do hope that you will be able to join us , for all or part of this virtual conference, which is open to all.  Please encourage your churches to take part in the day, which has been planned to support and inspire us in ‘working together to net zero’.

Please register via the link to the eventbrite page

Questions are invited in advance for the Energy Question Time, which is being pre-recorded.  Please send them either to this email or to the conference email/facebook page, as detailed on the programme.
