SUMMARY:Women Day of Prayer - Time and Venue TBC
DESCRIPTION:  \nEach year the Service is devised by the Women of a particular country.   This year it comes from the Women of Suriname with the title\, ‘All God’s Creation is Very Good’\, and has an emphasis of Ecology\, the Environment and Sustainability. \nDespite the title this Service is open to men and women\, young and older.    A Wave of Prayer encircles the World as this Service is held at the first point on earth where the Sun rises\, moving on towards the last place that the sun sets that same day.   You are invited to be part of this Wave of Prayer \nPLEASE NOTE  that\, this year notification has been circulated in the UK of opinions being sought from all areas as to whether the name should now be changed\, in line with the majority of the world\, and become the ‘World Day of Prayer’.  The name as it stands can be off-putting to some and seems old-fashioned to others\, along with the thought that the organisation is too exclusive.    However there is also a school of thought which fears that the ethos of the service written and organised by Women may be changed dramatically if it were universally organised\, and that there is something unique that happens when groups of either men or women organise and construct something\, and this need not necessarily be bad.   Please let me know your thoughts on this.
