DESCRIPTION:It seems that they are planning to merge St Albas council with other councils.  Final proposals to the government are due on November 28th. Old councils will be abolished on 1st April 2028( this is not a joke).  The proposed options can be found at https://www.hertfordshire-lgr.co.uk/proposed-options \nI understand that this may have serious implications for the center of St Albans\, since it does not have a parish\, from a local government point of view. \nThere is a meeting at \nSt Albans City and District Council \nThursday 18th September – 6.30pm to 8pm \nCivic Centre\, St Peters Street\, St Albans\, Herts\, AL1 3JE
