DESCRIPTION:The social and political activity of the Russian Orthodox Church. \nDr Ruth Deyermond\, Senior Lecturer in Post-Soviet Security in the Department of War Studies\, King’s College London\,  will be speaking about the social and political activity of the Russian Orthodox Church\, including its social doctrine\, its relationship to the Russian government’s policies concerning values and national identity\, and its role in creating and sustaining links to Russians outside Russia’s borders. \nThe meeting will take place on line as a Zoom meeting\, beginning at 11.15 and continuing until 13.00. We are grateful for the technical assistance of the staff at Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. \nIn order to organise an effective on-line meeting\, we need to know how many people intend to take part.
