DESCRIPTION:Wednesday October 23rd at  \n7:45pm for 8:00pm \nMarshalswick Baptist Free Church \nSherwood Avenue\, AL4 9QL \nAll Welcome \nThis is for everyone! \nThere is an overwhelming consensus that the planet faces a climate catastrophe for which humans are responsible.  We have to act in the next decade to prevent disaster and there is no suitable ‘planet B’.  But what can we do? \nAn urgent and necessary discussion that involves us all. \nMike Berners-Lee\, the author of There is No Planet B was originally going to speak to us but we felt he should take up a last minute opportunity to address the World Pension Summit in the Hague as pensions fund a high proportion of the global economy and hence impact climate change enormously.   Instead we have Tom Hill\, a Senior Environmental Economist from the IPPR Progressive Policy Think Tank. Tom and Mike have worked together in the past and have similar research interests.
